Management Structure

PRINCIPLES

In order to allow the Turin LOC to organise and conduct the World Air Games 2009 in an efficient way, FAI and Turin LOC contractually agreed on the following 3-level management structure and communication channels :

  • Decision-making on strategic and contractual issues will be made at the level of the FAI and Turin LOC executive boards.
  • In a multi-sport event, effective coordination is of crucial importance. Therefore, all policy and operational matters will be handled in cooperation between the LOC General Manager (CEO) and the FAI Coordinator, advised and assisted as necessary by the LOC Event Directors and the FAI Air Sport Commission Liaison Officers.
  • For practical matters such as technical requirements, rules, safety or equipment, direct communication will take place between the LOC Event Directors and the FAI Air Sport Commission Liaison Officers. However, the LOC CEO and the FAI Coordinator must at all times be kept informed of the results of such contacts.
