PHASE 2

Phase 2 of the bidding process will start on 7 April 2008 with the publication of the short-listing made by the FAI Executive Board.
The FAI will only invite a prospective World Air Games bidder to enter Phase 2 of the bidding process if it is convinced the bidder has the capabilities and resources to stage the World Air Games professionally, and to fulfil all the obligations of a World Air Games Organiser.

Shortlisted prospective bidders wishing to enter Phase 2 will have until 31 July 2008 to submit a detailed bid book. During August and September 2008, experts representing the FAI will evaluate the bid books submitted by the bidders, conduct on-site visits, hold meetings with the bidders and prepare a written evaluation report that will be available on 1 October 2008.

HOST SELECTION EVENT

Phase 2 of the bidding process will culminate on 5 December 2008 when invited bidders will gather in Lausanne to present their bids to the FAI Selection Committee.

On the basis of submitted bid books, on-site inspections, evaluation reports by experts and final presentations, the FAI Selection Committee will determine by a secret ballot vote who will be awarded the hosting rights of the World Air Games 2011.
